The most important part of our work is to ensure the maintenance of an efficient and effective police force for Nottinghamshire.
- It is our job to make sure that the police deliver the best possible service, one that is good value for money and meets the needs of local people.
The Chief Constable is responsible for all areas of operational policing. On behalf of the public, we hold her to account for police performance.
We have a number of statutory responsibilities which are carried out through our committee structure. Members of the public are welcome to observe meetings of the full Authority and its Committees. To find out more about this work and when meetings take place click here
